Payment Policy

This document sets out how payment and billing work when you order from Scout Peak.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We keep checkout simple and offer the following:

• Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover
• Apple Pay and Google Pay
• Shop Pay

All payments are processed in United States Dollars (USD).

2. Payment Processing

• Payment is taken in full at the time of purchase.
• Orders are not processed or shipped until payment has cleared.
• If a payment is declined or fails, the order is not confirmed and nothing is dispatched.

3. Pricing & Currency

• Every price shown on scoutpeak.com is in USD.
• Prices may change without notice.
• Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address. Shipping is free on all US orders, so no shipping fee is added.

4. Secure Payment Processing

Checkout runs over SSL encryption through Shopify Payments and its PCI-compliant partners. We do not store your card or wallet details and have no direct access to them at any point.

5. Authorisation & Verification

By placing an order you authorise us to charge the full amount, including any applicable tax, to your chosen payment method. Occasionally we request additional verification on higher-value orders. Where authorisation fails or verification cannot be completed, the order may be delayed or cancelled.

6. Refunds & Chargebacks

• Refunds are issued in line with our Refund & Return Policy, always to the original payment method.
• If something has gone wrong with your order, please contact us first at info@scoutpeak.com. We can almost always resolve it faster than a bank can.
• Chargebacks raised without contacting us first will be disputed with evidence of delivery and correspondence.

7. Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to hold or cancel any order we suspect involves fraud or unauthorised card use. Where an order is cancelled for this reason, any amount taken is refunded in full.
